We are a community of passionate wedding photographers based in Copenhagen. Nordic Wedding was founded with a desire to gather a team of Denmark's talented photographers with a common style. Nordic Wedding is based in Copenhagen but takes photos anywhere in Denmark. We also offer to take wedding photos abroad. We are a highly professional company that sees each wedding as a unique event. 

When you partner with Nordic Wedding, you'll be assigned a coordinator who will make sure everything goes smoothly, whether you need both filming and photos or just one of the two. This way, you can rest assured that if your photographer falls ill (fortunately, this has never happened), your coordinator will do everything possible to find a replacement.

Who are your photographers?

Our photographers are a team of carefully selected professional talents who specialize in fashion, coastline and lifestyle in addition to wedding photography.

With many years of experience behind them, they are chosen not only for their expertise, but also for their personality. Therefore, you will experience a skilled photographer with an open mind, who can blend in with the guests unnoticed and pleasantly.

 
Same style as on the website?

No matter which photographer you are assigned, you can expect the same style as shown on our website. This is ensured by the fact that all images are edited by the same person.

We work to uniform standards and use identical camera technology. Our photographers are used to working together as a team, and they share the same photographic style and aesthetic.

When will we get the pictures/video?

We deliver the photos and videos as quickly as we can, within 3 weeks.

We are thorough with the time it takes to refine, select and edit so that you have the best memories of your big day.

While we understand that you are excited about the outcome, we do not want to rush. You deserve the quality we stand for.

We understand that you want to announce your wedding with beautiful photos soon after, and therefore we strive to send a few selected ones in the days after your big day.

Do we get the raw files?

We deliver a carefully selected and processed end product. Raw material such as unprocessed images and videos are therefore not part of the final package. The reasons are:

Quality Focus: We strive to provide images that live up to our high standards of quality and artistic vision. Only the shots that meet these criteria are selected.

Importance of editing: Editing is essential to achieve the perfect expression, through adjustments to lighting, colors and composition. Raw images do not reflect this final result.

Selection Process: From the thousands of shots we take, we carefully select the ones that most authentically tell your story. This includes a series of photos from key moments, such as when the bride and groom walk out of the church, or during the portrait, to ensure variety and give you choice. We understand that perceptions of the "perfect" moment can vary, and therefore offer several options to cater to individual preferences.

Our goal is to deliver a final product that you will appreciate and enjoy looking back on, and this is best achieved through a professional selection and editing process.

What is your working style?

Answer: Our approach to photography is dynamic and human-centered. We strive to capture moments of authenticity and emotion. Here are some key points about our working style:

Authentic Moments: We value natural and candid moments that portray emotions and personalities. Our goal is to capture the most meaningful moments of your big day.

Positive Atmosphere: We work to create an environment where people feel comfortable and relaxed. This is often achieved by interacting with guests and building a positive atmosphere.

Flexible Presence: We adapt our presence to the situation. Sometimes we actively engage in conversations and laugh with guests, while other times we discreetly document events as a "fly on the wall".

Respect for Preferences: We respect individual preferences. If a guest expresses a wish not to be photographed, we will of course respect this.

Our goal is to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience while capturing the priceless moments of your special day.

Hours other than the pricing page?

Yes, you can. The more hours you book, the better the price, and our best price is for 12 hours or more.

- For 3-6 hours, the hourly rate is DKK 3,300.

- For 6-12 hours, the hourly rate is 2,483 DKK.

- For 12 hours or more, the hourly rate is 1,825 DKK.

So the best price is achieved when we are with you all day.

 

Can we meet the photographer first?

Yes, you can meet the photographer first. Once you've booked and the agreement is signed, the photographer will arrange an initial meeting with you, either over the phone, via online platforms or face-to-face, depending on your preference.

Purpose of the meeting:

  • Familiarity: Create a relationship between you and the photographer so that the photographer becomes a recognizable and reassuring presence on your big day.
  • Clarifying details: Understand your preferences, especially when it comes to portrait photography and specific requests.
  • Identifying key people: If there are certain people that the photographer needs to pay special attention to, bring pictures of these people to the meeting. This will help the photographer focus on them during the event.

We recommend that you prepare a list of any questions or concerns so we can ensure that all aspects are covered and that we are fully aligned with your expectations and wishes for the day.

When is payment and do you use a deposit?

Payment is made via invoice and the payment deadline is 10 days before the wedding date.

We do not require a deposit, but we do have a cancellation fee.  

Do you do resourcing and image manipulation?

Images come with basic editing of light, contrast and color tones, but exclude more extensive image processing.

Simple retouching is included in the agreed price. This covers minor changes such as removing pimples, wounds or other temporary irregularities on individuals. We strive to correct elements that are temporary. 

Not included

Significant retouching is not included in the price. This involves more extensive changes such as making individuals thinner, taller, shorter or clothing changes such as adjusting the fit of a dress or removing parts of an outfit. Additional retouching such as facelifts or other digital cosmetic enhancements also fall into this category.

If significant retouching is needed beyond what is included in the base price, this can be arranged at an additional cost. We are happy to provide a concrete offer based on the desired editing

What about transportation costs?

If the wedding takes place in Copenhagen, there will be no additional costs.

For weddings in the rest of Denmark, there is a transportation surcharge of DKK 500-2,000, depending on the distance.

For weddings abroad, transportation costs will typically be higher.

Not used to images, problem?

Absolutely not! Our photographers are experienced in working with people who are not used to being in front of the camera. We create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere to make you feel at ease. Our approach is natural and informal, which helps capture genuine and authentic moments. We guide you through the process and make sure you have fun while we capture beautiful images.

What if the photographer gets sick?

It's never happened before, but should a photographer fall ill, we will provide a replacement photographer. One of the benefits of choosing us as a group of photographers is that we always have someone who can step in, unlike if you choose a single photographer.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, preferably several months in advance, to ensure we are available on your desired date.

What if there is bad weather on the day?

We're used to shooting in many different types of weather, and no matter what, you're bound to get some great shots. In fact, it can be incredibly magical in the rain with umbrellas, and the advantage of gray weather is that it can be easier and better to take great portraits where you're not straining your face because of the sunshine.

Processes

One of the most important things with us is our processes, customer service and workflow. When you are a Nordic Wedding customer, you are not only booking a wedding photographer but also a peace of mind. It is simply incredibly important to us that our customers are always happy and satisfied, feel safe and in good hands. Therefore, we are always working to improve our workflow and design our concept so that we always live up to the good service you deserve. Therefore, we have designed steps that you will experience when you start a process with us. 

CHOOSING A SOLUTION

Before you choose your package, we're happy to have a no-obligation conversation where we'll try to understand your needs and answer any questions you may have. This can be done by email or by phone. For us, the most important thing is that you end up with the right solution for you. This applies to the choice of photographer as well as the package. Once we have found the right solution together, we will draw up an agreement for you. This agreement is binding for both you and us and must be signed before the date will be reserved for you. The agreement contains practical details about your day, the package you want and general terms and conditions for the collaboration.

Photographer meeting

Prior to your big day, we like to hold an intro meeting. This is to make the photographer a familiar face before the wedding so that you feel comfortable with him/her on the day. In addition, we would also love to clarify any requests you may have. We recommend that prior to the meeting, you have given some thought to your wishes for portraits, group photos, guests we need to pay special attention to, etc.

WE capture YOUR DAY

We always arrive in good time, preferably about 30 minutes before your ceremony. Here we capture the arrival of the guests and the excited partner who is waiting. We then participate in the ceremony, if allowed. We make sure to find the right balance between getting close enough to get the good shots, but of course respecting the purpose of the ceremony. Afterwards, we will take portraits of the bride and groom alone. We recommend setting aside at least 60 minutes for this session - it's also often a nice moment for the new couple to look into each other's eyes after the big yes. For the reception and/or party afterwards, we will focus on you and your guests, as well as any group photos. However, every wedding is different, so if the above doesn't describe your day, don't worry! We always adapt our approach to your day.

EDITING AND DELIVERY

Once the wedding is over, our work doesn't end. We collect all the footage from the day and select the best for you. We then edit the material based on the light and colors of the day. As a result, you will find that all our weddings have a unique look and feel, just like yours will. Editing is included in our package prices and we deliver everything within three weeks of your wedding day. We'll send you a link to your own personal website that you can share with friends and family. From here you will be able to download both photos and video. A couple of weeks after.
